That's the weapon Tobi is using during the big ninja war. He's using it to fight against Naruto + Bee + Kakashi + Gaļ.
It's also the same kind of weapon Madara's using.

And I'm releasing that picture just one day after we got to know who's hiding behind Tobi's mask ^^

How much do you want for making this prop and shipping it to me in Norway? :D Please be as cheap as possible (without lowering the quality of the prop), I'm using my spared money on getting a full Tobi cosplay :P

I don't think I could ship it : it's too big (it would probably cost 200€ juste to ship it)

Please PM me for anything comissions related, thanks.
I can be comissioned to build another one, but my problem with things as big as that is the shipping.

Yep there will be poses that will be hard to do, like holding it in the air with only 1 hand : that will be impossible ^^
But most of the poses will be OK to do. Its weight is about 3kg, so it's not hard to lift, and now it doesn't bend anymore (it was at first, before I put a resin coating to make it tougher). I can defenitely hold it upside down for a pose, but it wouldn't be comfortable if the persons taking the photos are long for it ^^

I use gesso as primer, before any paint job. Gesso is a thick white sort of paint that is applied with a brush (it can be diluted with water, it can also be sanded when dry). For the areas in white, I just left gesso as it was. I didn't need the white to be perfectly uniformed, because I knew I was gonna make it dirty by splashing dirty water on it ^^
For painting, I actually like to apply gesso with a brush : I like the fact it gives some grain, some texture. And I use that texture afterwards with drybrush techniques, which (I think) can look pretty good ^^

Looks very nice :)

What are the dimensions (length, thickness, how far out does it go at the lower and top circle), and how about the weight?
From the looks of the Tomoe, it looks like it's 1 piece of wood, which you have been using. Is this correct, or what method did you use to have it stick to the "staff" :)

As I said, it looks very nice, especially around the edges - Perhaps a little bit too "sharp" in my taste personally, but who cares :)

Due to critique requested:
The only "missing" parts I could mention would probably be the part below the Gunbai (the 3-5 cm part), which needs to be black, instead of white. Then the "handle" which should be wrapped in bandages, and lastly the black chain which goes from the handle, up through his sleeve, and past his shoulder.
Those are the only things I can pinpoint which could need work, and those are all parts that you can, if you wish to, do even after this, as they're not going to ruin the design/look ^^

Thanks,

Yep you're right I should paint the tip black. For the handle and the chain, I'll leave the person who comissioned this to take care of it, it's 2 things that are quite easy to add now ^^

If I remember correctly it's 170cm long, 9mm thick at the edges (apart from the sharpened edges), 3mm thick on the fan, about 3cm thick for the stick ...

Nice :)

That wasn't thick :O Won't it be a problem in regards to posing, do you think? :o (I mean it perhaps ending up bending a little downwards).

How about the weight? :) With it being not that thich, I suspect it to not weigh that much, so it should be ideal for lifting at least ^^
And lastly, how much paint did you use, mainly the white, and what kind of white (like reflecting white etc), in order to get it a "smooth white" (in other words, a white which didn't vary with some areas all white, and some areas where a little of the tree underneath (?) shined through, making it a darker, almost grey-ish white).

The paint question is mainly just my interest, as I had quite some trouble when I made my own Gunbai, in regards to the paint. It took a ton of white to get it to look nice (avoided brush-painting since I HATE the "stripes" which is usually the aftermath of using a paintbrush)

The weight question is also a bit in regards to cosmetics, so I can compare mine to yours (mine was easy to carry, but impossible to hold in one hand, and balance it, if you would hold it with the "fan" up)

Looking forward to hearing from you again ^^
