Last advancements I've done with the axes : engraving the blades ... I guess next pictures will be the photos of the finalised 3 axes I'm working on these days ...

Thanks ^^ It's some sort of wood, called medium or MDF in french (not sure how you'd call it in english)

Yeah that's it ^^
Compared to massive wood, it's really easy to work with and it's quite cheap to buy. But on the other hand it can get really fragile when you make a pointy shape (such as the top of the blade of a sword) ...
It's the 1st type of wood I've been working on, and I'm still using it (the low cost is really apreciable)

Yeah It's the easiest wood type to work with :)
I work in a lumberyard so I handle these plates daiely :)
Couldn't U just make the handle bar and all the way to the pointy shape in Normal pine wood? A little harder to work with but easier to make pointy :)
And then just glue MDF on it as usual :)
